The Student Council at the Department of Statistics
The Student Council (FSR) is the elected representation of the students of the Department of Statistics. It is elected at the beginning of each semester by a student general assembly and is responsible for all students in the study programs Statistics, Data Science and Econometrics. What the Student Council can do is governed by the Fachschaftsordnung.
We represent the students externally (towards the AStA, the professors, the university administration etc.) and regularly organize sports events, parties, pub crawls, game nights, trips and much more. In addition to these leisure activities, we also organize the orientation phase, discussion rounds with professors, tutorials and other events for first-year students. We also manage protocols for the preparation of oral exams.
If you have any questions, we are always there for you! You can find us in M/322 in the sofa room on the third floor of the Math Tower and in CDI/118 on the second floor of the CDI building. Or you can email us at fsrstatistik.tu-dortmundde.
Minutes of the FSR's meetings can be requested via e-mail.
